The award-winning company, Story Pocket Theatre in association with the Electric Theatre in Guildford presents an exciting new programme of adult workshops showing key elements of the process of bringing stories to the stage. Whether you are a veteran on stage or a complete rookie, there will be something for everyone in these masterclass sessions that will explore many ways of bringing stories to the stage. Subjects covered will include devising new stories, adapting from other sources, clowning, creating characters (including ideas for playing multiple roles).

The workshops will aim to help those taking part to build a store of ideas about creating and performing characters, finding the themes and objectives of the story being told and how to bring them to life on stage as actors or directors. They will also be a supportive and fun way of sharing experiences and ideas with others.

Workshops will be led by writers, directors and actors from Story Pocket Theatre and some specialist guests.
